Town Board holds public hearing on Local Law #2 flood protection

NY JACKSON — Jackson Town Board approves routine resolutions and holds public hearing on flood protection. The Board unanimously approved prior meeting minutes, Town Clerk Rebecca Breese and Supervisor Jay Skellie's April 2026 reports, $24,738.33 in general and highway bills, and audited 2025 books. Local Law #2 on flood and erosion management received a public hearing, with County GIS mapping planned to follow.
Highway Superintendent Dan Carney reported completion of Mountain Road and Keys Road projects, more than 50 percent of pothole repairs, and ongoing culvert work. The Board advanced planning for a $400,000 to $700,000 highway garage facility targeting spring 2027 construction.
