Rebecca Breese appointed Jackson town clerk, Molly Dixson resigns

misc · Meeting of January 29, 2026

NY JACKSON — Jackson town board names Rebecca Breese as new clerk, accepts Molly Dixson's resignation. The unanimously approved transition came as the board conducted its first organizational meeting of 2026, with Supervisor Jay Skellie and five council members also approving a full slate of 2026 appointments. The board authorized the Highway Superintendent to spend up to $5,000 per month without approval, designated the Eagle Press as the official town newspaper, and established mileage reimbursement at 45 cents per mile.

The board scheduled a public hearing for February 4 on extending a temporary moratorium on utility-scale solar, wind, and alternative energy facilities. ===END BRIEF===
