NY JACKSON — Jackson extends moratorium on solar and wind facilities as residents voice community concerns. The Town Board unanimously approved Local Law #1 of 2026 on February 4, with Supervisor Jay Skellie and council members voting 5-0 for the extension. The Planning Board is expanding solar regulations from 5 to 25 pages to address state law changes and close enforcement gaps; the new law will enable the town to call performance bonds if developers violate conditional approvals.
